Art Designs in Curated Presentation

Antiquity, the Renaissance, and Vogue photography are visual sources for my painting, placing faces and figures within a timeless framework through opaque colours and powerful forms. Aesthetics is a living energy that can dissolve shadows and touch the inner self - the realm of feeling beyond judgement and comparison, free, objective, and open.

The Art Designs translate the principles of this painting into a curated format. They create a space in which beauty is not merely observed visually, but where feeling leads into aesthetics, allowing beauty to be rediscovered within oneself.

Accentuated, subtle colour nuances and the almost iconic calmness within the faces of the Art Designs open a space filled with energy and presence. The portraits reflect a spectrum of emotions, while the series, through its consistent underlying structures, conveys clarity and inner tranquillity. The aesthetics of the faces do not invite superficial observation - upon closer viewing, the question of outer beauty often begins to question itself: What is beauty, really? Perhaps a fleeting moment of inner perception, once aesthetics is understood as a space that becomes part of inner experience.

The Art Designs radiate a gentle, calm atmosphere – an elegant and composed way of meeting the changing rhythms of the day. The beauty of the faces reflects a deeper level of reality – a timelessness that lies beneath the surface of fleeting moments. The aesthetics we contemplate can touch our inner beauty – if we do not lose ourselves in external comparison. When we see beauty, we can also feel it.

Outer beauty is subject to concepts that we have learned and internalised, just as our perception of external reality corresponds to our inner concepts. Even in moments of sadness, melancholy, grief, or pain, aesthetic clarity can guide human experience, like Ariadne’s thread leading out of the labyrinth of emotions. It opens a space in which feelings can be reflected upon.

These Art Designs originate from the original oil painting on canvas.

Individual image spaces, colour tensions, and visual condensations are carried forward and transformed into digital compositions.

From a shared visual field, different states of the image emerge — at times calm and intimate, at times fragmented, luminous, or distant.

In the fade in fade out sequence, the original Marilyn portrait gradually recedes. From the painterly origin, new visual spaces emerge — first condensed, then transformed — until the image opens into a cool, turquoise Art Design composition.

In this way, the transition itself becomes part of the work: from the painted image space to the digital extension of the same visual field.
